Colors vary. Young with 2 – 3 bars; adults with 2 white to pale blue bars. Bodies from deep orange to dark brown. Tails from white to deep yellow but always paler than the body. Captive-bred clownfish can survive without a host anemone but do require a small structure for a sense of security. With proper care these fish can live for 20 – 30 years.
